Who is Nuush?
Hi. I’m Sally, Nuush's founder and nutrition professional. I'm a qualified Nutrition and weight management coach, Athletics England running coach and level 4 Personal Trainer. I'm four years in to a five year degree in Nutritional Therapy with the University of West London.
Nuush's aim is to bring the joy back to healthy eating and living, using the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle as a basis. The Med diet is backed by robust evidence and is an inclusive rather than a restrictive way to eat. But we understand and uphold that the Mediterranean Diet is a simple framework, or starting point, rather than a prescriptive way of eating, and that different foods suit different people at different times.
We help people know and love their bodies and to feel enrichment in life, and to get the most out of both, naturally. To eat wholesome food in the amount that's right for them, meeting them where they are at and agreeing small changes. To spend time outdoors chilling or being active without having to record distance, speed, intensity or time. To enjoy functional fitness by carrying out life’s daily tasks such as gardening, walking the dog, walking to the shops or cycling to work. To honour sleep and prioritise it where possible (everything is where possible). To love and take solace in the natural world and to spend valuable time with people who are important to them.
It’s not as easy to sell this concept as it is to sell a strict regime or a fad but, unlike fads, it lasts and is passed through generations. If, in my lifetime, I can help just a few thousand people to feel their very best and pass on the knowledge and healthy habits then that is enough to start a revolution. I hope you will be one of them.
And a huge shout out to Iain and Thomas who do all the non-nutrition things and keep the business organised, solvent, working well and looking good. Not to mention Scout the sheepdog who samples all the recipes and makes a great running companion.
